About
The Citrus Club was formed in March 2010 with the aim of creating a social network for professional people in Preston, Lancashire. Since then the club has grown to about 40 members with a mailing list of about 300 people.
The club is now just over 18 months old and we have good attendances of about 8-10 people or more at most events. We would like to grow the club even more in future, and we always encourage suggestions and contributions from our members.
There are a number of social networks in cities such as Manchester and London, and we would like to create a similar social scene for professionals in the Lancashire area.
At the moment the club is run at break-even but the aim is eventually to run a profit-making club, where members can keep fit, have fun, try out new activities and make new friends and business contacts.
Most members are from Preston and nearby towns and villages, for example we have members in Fulwood, Penwortham, Walton-le-Dale, Freckleton, Preston docklands, Blackburn, Fleetwood, Blackpool etc.
The age range is mostly twenties and thirties, but we also have a some members who are in their forties or fifties.

21/01/2012 A great turnout (30+) for our paintballing event in January. Thanks to Anna and her colleages for organising this!
31/12/2011 Another successful year! We now have over 40 members and hope to achieve further growth in the year 2012.
27/11/2011 11 members enjoy Grasmere and Rydal Water walk in the Lake District, led by Brian, one of our members.
27/10/2011 We won the pub quiz again! That's 2 weeks in a row. 10 people in our team this week at the Pig and Whistle.
